This fact, along with a passion for people and a desire to transcend the traditional world of accounting, culminated to form what is now DarverKelly, LLP. Our firm is backed by 30+ years of accounting experience, as well as a breadth of knowledge that spans the industry. However—perhaps more importantly—we see our clients as people with their own breadth of knowledge worth sharing. Together, we'll devise a plan to meet your needs, and then we'll pave your path to success.
Why DarverKelly? Some of Harris's favorite memories include riding in a small wooden boat through torrential waters to the Gili Islands in Indonesia, exploring the hut of a Maasai Warrior in Kenya and climbing to the summit of Mount Rainier. Risk-taker? Perhaps. But also truth-seeker, appreciating what's raw and untampered with. This calling for honesty and clarity is what also drew Harris to the career of accounting. A founding partner of DarverKelly, LLP, Harris has more than 10 years of audit, advisory and consulting experience focused on nonprofit, governmental and small business entities.
Prior to the formation of DarverKelly, LLP in 2019, Harris was a partner with McGregor and Company, LLP in their nonprofit and governmental audit practice. He specializes in building strong processes and developing efficiencies, creating seamless engagements for non-profits, school districts, and clients of DarverKelly's Outsourced Accounting Department. With degrees in Accounting and Finance, Harris is on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
So though Harris isn't able to climb mountains every day, he does find joy in tackling less physical challenges—learning his clients' needs and helping them use the facts to meet their needs. This, in its own way, is a different form of truth-seeking. To Harris, the ultimate success is serving as a valuable conduit for others' growth.
Lesley doesn't go anywhere without her hiking poles. There's always the chance to stumble upon an adventure, and when that happens, she's ready. Lesley spent her twenties and thirties chasing marathon personal records, and that dedication continued in her forties when she took a serious interest in hiking, culminating in a one-day, 28-mile hike on the Foothills Trail to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The same determination and tenacity that carried her through endurance challenges is what also energized her to earn her BSBA in Finance and eventually begin her own accounting firm. Lesley holds more than 20 years of audit, advisory, tax and consulting experience focused in nonprofit, governmental and small business entities. Prior to the formation of DarverKelly in 2019, Lesley was with McGregor and Company, LLP, where she served as a partner with the firm for more than 12 years as a leader in their nonprofit and governmental audit practice. Her combined experience with both firms has resulted in her serving as the engagement partner on more than 200 nonprofit and governmental audits. She currently serves as an officer on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Lesley's depth of experience has taught her the importance of communication, and she is most interested in finding ways to translate her work to meaningful information for her clients. Not everyone understands accounting, and she understands that. Therefore, she aims to provide a service that gives her clients useful information—information that leads them to achieving their goals.

Though we have a lot of fun, we're also not afraid to double down and work hard. Our clients often comment about our efficient processes and strong work ethic. Along the way, we'll keep you informed and educated so that you always understand why we're doing what we're doing. Give us a deadline, a task, a question. We're on it.
